The Korea Professional Football Federation received the grand prize in the sports promotion category for the 2025 Chosun Ilbo Social Contribution Award.
The federation was honored with the award in recognition of the achievements of "K League Futures" at the award ceremony held at the Coreana Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul on the 27th.
"K League Futures" is a social contribution program that provides education, culture and environment for children to enjoy and learn soccer. Typical activities include running a children's soccer class to △ school △ development of soccer textbooks and programs △ holding a soccer festival.
Starting with a business agreement with the Ministry of Education in November 2023, the federation conducted various activities to develop children's soccer class programs and promote school sports. The federation explained through "K League Futures," "Retired players participated as instructors, contributing to job creation and job and career design, and children received high-quality education with the players' rich experience and expertise."
